What is the EUDIS Business Accelerator?
EUDIS stands for EU Defence Innovation Scheme. Launched by the European Commission as a key initiative within the European Defence Fund (EDF), EUDIS aims to expand the European defence innovation ecosystem with a strong focus on startups and SMEs. It provides end-to-end support, from concept to market entry, helping innovators connect with industry players, secure funding and drive competitiveness in the defence sector.
The EUDIS Business Accelerator is one of two complementary services under the EUDIS umbrella. The other is EUDIS Matchmaking, a continuous open platform connecting defence innovators, investors, corporates and end-users across Europe through structured networking events and a smart matchmaking platform.

A €120,000 seed voucher awarded to each company based on progress towards objectives set at the start of the programme.

Who can apply?
Startups and scaleups
The EUDIS Business Accelerator is open to startups and scaleups based in EU Member States or Norway that are developing solutions for the defence industry or aiming to enter it. Eligible companies must not be subject to control by a non-associated third country or by a non-associated third country entity.
Defence experts
If you are a defence professional who is a citizen of an EU Member State or Norway, you can apply to join the programme as a coach, trainer or field expert. You will contribute your expertise to the cohort while expanding your own professional network and visibility in the European defence ecosystem.
Luxinnovation: Luxembourg's National Focal Point
Luxinnovation is Luxembourg's designated National Focal Point (NFP) for the European Defence Fund, as part of the EDF NFP Network established under the Enhancing Opportunities for All (EOA) project. This network brings together official contact points from all EU Member States and Norway, mandated by the European Commission to support national stakeholders in accessing EDF funding and programmes, including EUDIS.
As Luxembourg's NFP, Luxinnovation provides:
- Information and guidance on EDF and EUDIS funding opportunities, eligibility criteria and application processes
- Application support to help Luxembourg-based companies prepare competitive submissions
- Consortium building by connecting Luxembourg companies with potential partners across the European defence ecosystem
- Matchmaking access through EDF online and onsite matchmaking events organised by the NFP network
