Under the Law of 8 December 2025 on the renewal of Luxembourg's environmental and climate protection aid scheme, the Ministry of the Economy offers financial support to businesses investing in the transition of their commercial fleet to zero emission.
This aid covers two types of projects:
- Purchasing or hiring new zero-emission road vehicles (categories N1, N2 and N3) — fully electric or hydrogen fuel cell
- Converting existing combustion engine vehicles (categories N1, N2, N3, M2 and M3) to zero-emission technology
The eligible cost is calculated as the additional cost compared to an equivalent conventional vehicle — meaning only the green premium is funded, not the full vehicle price.

Maximum amount of financial aid
The amount of aid is calculated on the basis of eligible costs and cannot exceed the following thresholds:

* Large companies are not eligible for this aid measure.
** You must submit your application before signing any purchase, hire or leasing contract for the vehicle.

SMEs with smaller projects can apply via a simplified direct procedure (up to EUR 300,000 in aid and up to 5 vehicles per group). Larger projects compete through a call for projects with no cap on the aid rate. -

Who can benefit?
This aid is open to small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) legally established in Luxembourg that hold a valid business permit and are carrying out projects to purchase, hire or convert light or heavy commercial vehicles to zero emission.
Eligible vehicles must be kept for a minimum of 5 years after registration (or after recording in fixed assets if not subject to registration).
Applications must be submitted online via MyGuichet.lu before any binding commitment (purchase order, contract signature) is made.
This financial support measure is provided by the Ministry of the Economy.
