Photovoltaics and storage solutions: new call for tenders

On Friday, 17 July, the Ministry initiated the sixth call for tenders (PV6) to aid companies in investing in photovoltaic installations with a power range of 30 kWp to 3,000 kWp, as well as storage solutions.

The fifth call for tenders (PV5), which concluded in April 2026, provided support for 16 out of 21 project applications, with a total funding amount of €1.11 million. This supported an installed capacity of 1,934.02 MWp.

In addition to setting up new production capacity, PV6 encourages companies to enhance electricity recovery, particularly through self-consumption. Projects that incorporate storage solutions receive increased support, underscoring their strategic importance in the energy transition and the necessity for additional investments.

Three distinct lots

PV6 has an overall budget of €10 million, distributed across three lots:

1. Lot 1: > 30 kWp and ≤ 3,000 kWp (building roofs; ZAE)
2. Lot 2: > 30 kWp and ≤ 2,000 kWp "Innovative" (on a building: roofs with lightweight modules, façade modules)
3. Lot 3: > 30 kWp and ≤ 2,000 kWp (shading) (on a building: roofs with lightweight modules, façade modules)

Modalities and timetable

The aid will be awarded through competitive tendering, based on criteria defined in the specifications.

Interested companies can submit their applications until 30 September 2026. All the specifications are available on Guichet.lu.
