Klimapakt fir Betriber: Decarbonisation solutions for industrial zones and communities

Find energy-sharing solutions within your geographical location

We support companies located in the same industrial zone or geographical area with launching pilot projects aimed at finding joint solutions for reducing their energy consumption and energy costs.

Are you interested in developing energy sharing solutions to decrease your carbon footprint?

If your company is located in an industrial zone or specific geographical location shared by several companies, we can help you find ways of decreasing your energy consumption and costs through energy sharing (production and consumption) and the creation of energy and mobility-sharing communities.

We can help you launch pilot projects including the following steps:

  1. An inventory and analysis of participating companies in your industrial zone/location to determine their energy consumption. This analysis is done through the Fit 4 Sustainability programme.
  2. Simulations for potential energy pooling. These include renewable energy production (through solar panels), electricity storage, self-consumption (including for vehicle electrification) and the recovery and sharing of waste heat.

Two such decarbonisation pilot projects are currently ongoing, covering ZARE Ehlerange and the Lentzweiler industrial zone. We support the interested companies through the Fit 4 Sustainability programme.

Key benefits

  • An individual inventory and analysis of your energy needs and consumption
  • Identification of the potential for energy sharing in your industrial zone/location

Who can benefit?

These pilot projects can include any type of Luxembourg company located in an industrial zone or specific geographical location with potential to create a community for energy pooling..
