We need a strong and innovative defence industry. Yuriko Backes, Minister of Defence
Produced by Luxinnovation, Luxembourg's national innovation agency, in close cooperation with the Directorate of Defence of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, the catalogue offers a snapshot of a fast-growing ecosystem. It presents 109 national entities – including companies, laboratories and research centres – active in high-value areas such as cybersecurity, advanced materials, space technologies and autonomous systems.
"The current security situation in Europe and beyond calls for an unprecedented rearmament effort. To meet this challenge, we need a strong and innovative defence industry. Luxembourg has both the expertise and agility to play a meaningful role in this effort. This catalogue is tangible evidence of that potential", said Minister of Defence, Yuriko Backes.
