New calls for projects for electric charging infrastructure

Two new aids for electric charging stations are available following a competitive bidding process.

The amended law of 26 July 2022 concerning the aid scheme for companies investing in infrastructure for alternative fuel vehicles states that companies with projects to deploy charging infrastructure, whether public or private, with a charging capacity of at least 175 kilowatts, may receive aid for electric charging stations awarded through a competitive tender.

Two new project calls have been launched:

1. Establishment of charging infrastructure for heavy-duty vehicles

  • Maximum budget: EUR 5 million
  • Date: 15 January to 31 March 2026 (at noon)
  • The selected companies will be able to benefit from a subsidy covering up to 70% of their investment.

2. Establishment of charging infrastructure that provides alternating current (AC) power

  • Maximum budget: EUR 7 million
  • Date: 15 January to 15 June 2026 (at noon)
  • The selected companies will be able to benefit from a subsidy covering up to 50% of their investment.

Projects are selected within the budget limits of the call for projects, based on the lowest amount of aid per carrying capacity newly created by the project.

The Ministry of the Economy, supported by Luxinnovation and Klima-Agence, will present these new schemes and the benefits for the country's companies during an information webinar on Tuesday 10 February, from 10:00 to 12:00, in French.
