Luxinnovation’s latest programme is designed to help companies unlock the power of AI by leveraging the wealth of data they already have —ultimately boosting their competitiveness and long-term success.
Few technologies have sparked as much discussion and disruption in such a short time as artificial intelligence. Although AI has been a subject of academic and technical interest since the mid-20th century, recent advances in processing power and electronics have propelled it into an entirely new league.
Today, AI dominates headlines and boardroom conversations alike. Hardly a day passes without news of new tools, updates, or emerging players in the field. For business leaders already navigating a packed agenda, it can be overwhelming to keep up — let alone figure out how and where to start.
But that should not mean missing out on the enormous potential AI has to offer. “AI is no longer a myth — it’s a reality,” said Lex Delles, Minister for the Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism, during the recent Economy Day event held at the Chamber of Commerce. “A business that isn’t digitalised can’t survive today. And the same will soon apply to those that ignore AI.”
Companies increasingly understand that AI is a major opportunity, but they often don’t know how to get started. Philippe Mayer, Luxinnovation
To help businesses take their first step into this transformative world, the national innovation agency Luxinnovation has launched Fit 4 AI. “Companies increasingly understand that AI is a major opportunity,” explains Philippe Mayer, Deputy CEO of LUxinnovation. “But they often don’t know how to get started. Fit 4 AI helps SMEs explore how artificial intelligence can benefit their business and identify the best approach with support from expert advisors.”
Through the programme, companies receive guidance from an AI consultant certified by Luxinnovation. The consultant conducts a tailored diagnosis to identify the most relevant AI use case, aligned with the company’s strategic goals and operational context.
Based on this assessment, the company receives a concrete action plan and a detailed, costed roadmap to support the implementation of the proposed solution. Half of the consultancy costs are covered by the Ministry of the Economy. Depending on the project, further public support may also be available to advance development.
AI isn’t here to replace people — it’s here to help them work smarter. Philippe Mayer, Luxinnovation
This structured and secure approach empowers companies to act with confidence — transforming curiosity into concrete results.
“AI isn’t here to replace people — it’s here to help them work smarter,” adds Philippe Mayer. “That’s the core philosophy of Fit 4 AI: helping businesses automate repetitive tasks, streamline operations, make better decisions based on data, and ultimately boost both productivity and competitiveness.”
