Technoprocess: A new organisation thanks to Fit 4 Digital

Technoprocess specialises in technical distribution for professionals in the sanitary, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, plumbing, water treatment and industrial sectors in Luxembourg.

After more than 35 years of activity, the company began to face limitations linked to its software and organisational infrastructure. Its operations relied largely on close customer relationships and the strong individual commitment of its sales representatives. This represented valuable capital, but remained fragile and difficult to transfer or share.

The quality of the relationship between each salesperson and their customers also revealed a structural weakness: interactions took place almost exclusively between individuals rather than within the company. Information was not recorded in a shared database and could not easily be accessed by other employees. This was particularly problematic for sales cycles lasting up to 10 or 12 months.

“In addition, we were using ageing sales management software and did not have a CRM tool or tools for monitoring commercial offers. This led to a general lack of efficiency and coordination,” explains Guilhem De Ferrières, Manager of Technoprocess.

Fit 4 Digital programme

In this context, Technoprocess decided to join the Fit 4 Digital programme, managed by Luxinnovation. The programme helps Luxembourg companies assess how digital solutions can improve their daily operations.

Fit 4 Digital enables companies to work with an experienced consultant who analyses their IT infrastructure, software and applications. The assessment can cover areas such as:

• production,
• stock management,
• planning,
• invoicing,
• accounting,
• human resources,
• and e-commerce.

Following the diagnosis, the company receives a roadmap setting out potential digital investments and recommended priorities.

Reviewing the organisation and strategy

Technoprocess worked with OpenField to carry out the initial audit. “The first phase of the audit was completed very quickly. In less than three months, the inventory was finalised. The discussions during this phase were highly efficient and informative, as were the interactions with Luxinnovation. There was little bureaucracy and the exchanges were constructive,” says Mr De Ferrières.

The project goes beyond replacing or upgrading software. Technoprocess is also reviewing its overall strategy and organisational structure. The company is currently identifying the processes it will need to establish and formalise. This phase is expected to be completed before the end of 2026. “It will provide the basis for more precise specifications for the future enterprise resource planning system that we plan to implement.”

The company is therefore building a digital foundation adapted to its role as a specialised distributor. This transformation should support its ambition to significantly increase turnover over the next three to five years, while repositioning the business towards higher value-added services.
