MindoryApp: AI to the rescue of mental health

AutiHD has developed an innovative tool powered by artificial intelligence to support neurodivergent individuals in managing stress.

At the heart of Luxembourg’s digital health ecosystem, AutiHD is breaking new ground in mental well-being with its flagship product, MindoryApp.

Founded by Joël Schmit, a neurodivergent entrepreneur diagnosed with autism and ADHD, the company combines personal insight with professional expertise. Joel’s background in digital innovation and inclusive design has shaped AutiHD’s mission to create technology that genuinely understands its users. Specifically designed for neurodivergent individuals—particularly those with ADHD and autism—this AI-powered application takes a holistic approach to stress management, executive functioning, and emotional support.

The challenge: Stress that goes unseen

For many neurodivergent people, daily life involves constant negotiation with invisible stressors. Sensory overload, social masking, disrupted sleep, and emotional dysregulation can make the neurotypical world feel overwhelming. Traditional stress monitoring tools, which often rely on heart rate fluctuations, fail to address these challenges. For instance, autistic individuals frequently have elevated baseline heart rates and muted physiological stress responses, making standard trackers unreliable.

Additionally, executive dysfunction—a core difficulty for those with ADHD—can turn task planning and time management into daily struggles. This often leads to a cycle of chronic stress, burnout, and emotional fatigue. Research cited by AutiHD reveals that up to 72 percent of autistic adults experience burnout, while suicide rates are up to nine times higher than in the general population. For individuals with ADHD, over 80 percent report persistent stress linked to cognitive overload.

The solution: A connected AI ecosystem

AutiHD has addressed this urgent need with MindoryApp, a comprehensive AI-based stress management system tailored to neurodivergent users. Rather than offering isolated features, the app provides a connected ecosystem that adapts to each user’s unique rhythms and needs.

Key components include:

  • AI Stress Monitor: Goes beyond heart rate analysis by incorporating sleep patterns, movement, ambient noise, and behavioural data. This multi-modal approach identifies long-term stress trends rather than short-term spikes;
  • AI Organizer: Designed for users with executive dysfunction, it breaks tasks into manageable steps, avoids rigid time slots, and suggests actions based on energy levels and stress indicators;
  • AI Urgency Assistant: Activates during stress peaks to provide calming interventions, smart scheduling adjustments, and micro-tasks to reduce overwhelm;
  • AI Support Chat: A context-aware conversational agent that helps users reflect, process emotions, and navigate daily challenges with a calm and empathetic tone.

The app also integrates features such as voice biomarkers, adaptive notifications, sensory tracking, menstrual cycle monitoring, and gamification mechanisms. It is available in both dark and light themes and optimised for accessibility.

AI at the core: Personalisation and prevention

What sets MindoryApp apart is its continuous learning loop. The AI doesn’t merely react—it anticipates. By analysing user behaviour over time, it learns to identify stress triggers, recognise when support is needed, and intervene before burnout occurs. This preventative approach is particularly vital for users who may not recognise stress until it reaches a critical point.

The app’s chat assistant functions as more than a chatbot—it serves as a self-reflection space that understands the user’s current stress level, task load, and emotional context. Rather than coaching from a distance, it offers support alongside the use.

Impact and scalability

AutiHD has conducted extensive market research across Europe, engaging with neurodivergent communities and piloting the app with institutions such as the European Investment Bank (EIB). Feedback has helped shape a product that is not only technically robust but deeply human.

From an economic perspective, MindoryApp is poised to deliver long-term value for Luxembourg:

  • Job Creation: Building a local team of developers, AI engineers, UX designers, and psychologists;
  • Investment Attraction: Opening new segments in digital health, with interest from public and private institutions;
  • Workforce Retention: Helping employers reduce burnout and absenteeism, particularly among high-potential neurodivergent employees;
  • Social ROI: Lowering healthcare costs and fostering inclusion through mental health support.

The app’s public release, featuring progressive updates and enhanced functionality, is launching on iOS and will expand to Android. Its infrastructure is cloud-based and modular, ready to scale through B2C subscriptions and B2B2C partnerships with employers, universities, and care providers.

AutiHD is not merely launching an app—it is creating a lifeline. By combining AI with empathy, MindoryApp offers neurodivergent individuals a tool that understands, supports, and empowers them to thrive. In a world where stress often remains invisible, this innovation makes it visible—and manageable.
